Manager, Coach and Trainer Responsibilities

Manager Responsibilities

  • Obtain/renew WWC check
  • Establish a Whatsapp group for team communication
  • Prior to the weekend, source game details (time/location) from Gorillas Facebook/Instagram page or webpage.
  • Understand team responsibilities for ground duty and BBQ, ensuring they’re met utilising parents within the team
  • Before Thursday 5pm each week you must upload the playing team on the mysideline app
  • Game day, be ready to use the mysideline app, time the game, take a photo of the scoresheet and have this signed by referee/ opposing manager
  • Complete Gymea Gorillas web stats

Coach Responsibilities

  • Obtain/renew WWC check
  • Have a plan and be prepared for training and the game
  • No player should participate in any match of a lower division or age group than been originally registered
  • You have a duty of care that if a player suffers a head injury, they must not play the remainder of the game and should be referred to a GP for clearance
  • Do not approach players from other teams to play in your team without consulting the respective coach
  • Age manager and Jnr VP will make the final decision if required

Trainer Responsibilities

  • Obtain/renew WWC check
  • Complete trainers’ course
  • Assist the coach with training and on game day
  • Must not to enter the field until a stoppage in play occurs unless a player is injured, referee blows the whistle or if a try is scored and you’re removing the kicking tee after a kick off
  • Administer water in breaks along with assisting injured players. This includes calling the grounds first aid for serious instances
